T1 roster changes ahead of next Dota 2 DPC season
After falling short in the LCQ, T1 parts ways with Kenny “Xepher” Deo, coach Park "March" Tae-won, and potentially Carlo “KuKu” Palad before DPC 2022-23 Season.
The International 2022 finals weekend is just days away, signaling the end of the DPC 2021-22 season. Ahead of that, teams that didn't make it or didn't perform as well as hoped, are and will be adjusting their rosters.
For T1 that means parting ways with at least one player (potentially two) and the coach so far.
Carlo "Kuku" Palad announced on his Facebook that his contract with the team has come to an end, and although he is still in negotiations he is open to other options.
There has been no official word from T1 about either player.
Despite signing two-time, back-to-back, TI champions Anathan "ana" Pham and Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen (stand-in for TI only) before the TI11 regional qualifiers, T1 failed to make it to the main event.
T1 made it through the group stage of LCQ but was dropped to the lower brackets in a 2:0 sweep by Team Secret in the upper bracket semi finals and then eliminated by ViCi Gaming after the Chinese team's 2:1 victory.
