Evil Geniuses taken out by South America in two back-to-back series

beastcoast brought EG to The International 2022 just to destroy their dreams of claiming the Aegis in a spectacular 2:0 sweep.

The kyle curse is real, the bald buff isn't.

beastcoast has not had a player change since 2019.

Seems that stability and SA were stronger in the end.

The SA - NA rivalry has a long and complex history. Back in 2015 NA asserted its dominance and bullied the SA region around. Things were contentious, to say the least.

But as the SA region began to rise and grow, partially due to the injection of opportunities and slots given to them in the DPC and more significant events, the relationship started to morph and change into mutual respect and friendship.

Evil Geniuses and beastcoast gave helping hands to each other for their rival-friends to grace the stage at The International. For TI10 it was EG that helped pave the way, eliminating beastcoast's challengers standing in the way of the Peruvian team's spot. For TI11, beastcoast returned the favor and cleared the road for EG.

In the first game, beastcoast came out of the gates with guns blazing. Almost immediately EG fell behind in the laning stage and could never catch up. The name of the game? Wisper.

By 14 minutes in, Adrián "Wisper" Dobles had the highest net worth. His itemization was on point, his dives were perfect, and his kills racked up. He was the crucial point for beastcoast to play around his timings and he set the tempo well.

With a smooth and clean execution from start to finish, beastcoast took EG down with a 40:14 victory in just 35 minutes.

In the second game, Wisper got the last pick of Brewmaster and the team also picked up the Naga Siren, a combo that could easily turn the team fights in their favor. EG went with a more pick-off-oriented lineup.

Héctor "K1" Rodríguez's Naga was able to free farm and became an incredible beast that couldn't be dealt with. beastcoast just knew when to apply the pressure, where, and how. They shifted the momentum into their favor and Jean "Chris Luck" Salazar on Leshrac just dominated EG.

Evil Geniuses goes home with a 9-12th place finish and $342,033.

beastcoast will continue to advance in the lower brackets on Sunday, October 23 at 04:00 CEST to face off against the winner of BOOM vs PSG.LGD series.
