Team Liquid delivers fastest Last Chance Qualifiers series to eliminate Xtreme Gaming

China remains with only one team in the Last Chance Qualifiers after Xtreme Gaming got run over in less than an hour by Team Liquid.

Team Liquid reached the lower bracket semi-finals with a crushing victory over the team most Dota 2 fans saw as the favourite to make it to The International 2022 via Last Chance Qualifiers, Xtreme Gaming.

In what was more of a turbo mode series, Liquid took the 1-0 lead with 17 kills to 2 in just 19 minutes on the back of a Slark - Undying safe lane duo and an offlane Enigma. Their incredibly powerful lane presence suffocated Xtreme’s Terrorblade draft and gave them the momentum to score the fastest 2-0 victory of the entire LCQ, including group stage matches.

The second game closed at the 26 minute mark with Team Liquid hunting down Xtreme with a carry Pudge and mid lane Shadow Fiend. This marked Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen fourth Pudge game in the LCQ. He boasts a 100% win rate on the hero, and the exact same stats are applied to Michael "miCKe" Vu’s Shadow Fiend so far in the tournament.

With their victory over Xtreme, Liquid are now two series away from qualifying for The International 2022. However, there are no second chances for them as their battles are held in the lower bracket rounds. They will be returning to action, tomorrow, Wednesday, October 12 to play against the other Chinese team from LCQ, Vici Gaming.
