Entity eliminate BOOM from PGL Arlington Major 2022

As the PGL Arlington Major inches towards the grand finals, Entity have extended their run for another series after they eliminate BOOM 2:1.

In the aftermath of all of the TI invites being distributed, the grind doesn't stop. The teams still left standing at PGL Arlington Major 2022 are now chasing the championship trophy and the glory of a Major win under their belt.

Entity and BOOM, two teams whose tournament runs have pleasantly surprised fans thus far went head-to-head to kick off the fourth day of the playoffs.

In front of a rollicking crowd, the first in NA for over two years, BOOM Esports and Entity gave fans a full three-game series filled with interesting drafts, unique itemizations, and tons of excitement.

Entity had chosen all of their comfort heroes to set the series in motion, but they were going against a ticking clock as BOOM's draft had the potential to really stall things out. Although all of Entity played really well Daniel "Stormstormer" Schoetzau's performance on Tiny really stood out.... along with the Basher on Clockwerk, an item selected twice on the hero by Dzmitry "Fishman" Palishchuk in this event already and only four times total in professional matches. As a team with no pressure and having fun, Entity was able to end the game in just over 30 minutes, before BOOM could have disrupted their rhythm and momentum.

Knowing the WEU team technically has two offlane players in the lineup, BOOM banned out all of the key heroes they could for the second match. However, Entity was still able to secure a signature draft for themselves. Erin "Yopaj" Ferrer seemed to have revenge on his mind from being mercilessly killed off in Game 1 and started out Game 2 taking kill after kill. As amazing as his early to mid-game was, towards the 20-minute mark, he made perfect bait on his illusion, Entity used all of their spells on it which allowed and gave BOOM an even bigger boost to their overwhelming lead and dominance. They didn't allow Entity to come online ever and ended with a clean (and perfect from Yopaj with a 10:0:11) game to tie up the series.

In the final game of the series Entity's draft was just outright disgusting with a Venomancer, Necro, and Visage. Once again being on a timer, Entity came out of the game swinging and heading into a killing spree with a 5:0 lead in the first 7 minutes.  BOOM wasn't able to get their feet off the ground at all as Entity didn't let up and ended the game in just over 35 minutes with a 19k gold lead. Vladislav "Kataomi`" Semenov had a flawless game on Sven (7:0:17 record) and Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek was spectacular on Necromancer.

BOOM Esports go home with a 7-8th place finish, an extra 350 points, and $12,500 in their pockets.

Entity will advance further alone in the lower brackets to take on Team Aster in the lower bracket quarter-finals later tonight.
