Alliance are Europe top seed for second Major

Alliance finished the second season of Western Europe DPC league at the top of the upper-division and secured a playoffs seed at the final Major before The International 10.

With a total of 800 DPC points already in the bag, 300 from season 1 and 500 for the first place in the second season, Alliance are also almost guaranteed a ticket to The International 10, regardless of their performance at the upcoming Major. Season 2 regional league came to an end for them with a commendable 6-1 overall series score. The only loss suffered was against Brame, who took them down 2-1 on week four of league play.

Last squad to fall short when pitted against Alliance this season were Hellbear Smashers, who unfortunately ended their league run with a 0-7 overall series score and will get relegated back to the lower division.

While for Alliance it’s time to put all drama and quarrels from this season behind, take a small break and come back with guns blazing for the second Major, the teams currently placed 2nd to 7th in the Western Europe upper division league are far from being able to relax just yet.

It is yet to be decided between Team Liquid, OG and Team Nigma which one will claim the second seed and a ticket to the Major group stage, while Brame, Team Secret and Tundra Esports are fighting to make the difference between a Wild Card spot at the major and relegation to the lower division.
