Heading into the third week of the DPC 2021 Season 1, we look to Europe with some potentially intense matches.
The honeymoon is over and the DPC 2021 Season 1 is in full swing with things really heating up. As we head into the third week which will signal the halfway point at the end, all teams are jockeying for the top position which will send them to the first Major in over one year.
In an era of OG, Team Nigma, and Team Secret dominance, it doesn't look like Europe is ready to pen a new chapter just yet. These three powerhouses continue to lead the pack and be on pace with expectations.
While they are engaged in a fierce battle for one of two secured spots for the Major, there are two wild card spots up for grabs which ratchets up the tension. Plus, there are few teams standing in wait such as Team Liquid and Alliance who have a strong shot at not only taking up one of the wild card spots but even swiping up one of the Major slots.
And three weeks in there is still time for Vikin.gg, Tundra Esports, and High Coast Esports to change their fortune. With the pressure mounting, it always makes for some unpredictable and thrilling matches.
This week kicks off today, February 2nd with an all Swedish organization affair as High Coast Esports takes on Alliance to establish who are the kings of the north.
We'll get to see a showdown between Team Secret and Nigma as well as Vikin.gg get a chance to take down Nigma later in the week.
