MiLAN is now coaching Team Spirit at PGL Wallachia Season 7 in his trial debut.
Prominent Dota 2 team,
Team Spirit, has announced a new coach joining their prestigious line-up, as veteran player Milan “MiLAN” Kozomara trials for the team. His debut coaching stint is taking place at the ongoing PGL Wallachia Season 7, which so far looks promising.
MiLAN has been a professional player in the Dota 2 scene since 2014, playing in various European stacks including
Kaipi in 2017,
J.Storm in 2018, and
Quincy Crew in 2022. He then pivoted into coaching five years ago with the British team
Into The Breach. Most recently, he coached
Natus Vincere in the previous season, where the team recorded respectable results, including a Top 6 finish at PGL Wallachia Season 5.
His arrival at Team Spirit marks a major step in his coaching career, albeit a challenging one. He not only has to lead a star-studded roster featuring names such as Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk and
Denis “Larl” Sigitov, but also fill the massive shoes left by their former coach,
Silent.–who notably laid the foundations for the team’s success.
Silent led Team Spirit to two world championships in 2021 and 2023, along with several other landmark victories, including wins at the Riyadh Masters / Esports World Cup in 2023 and 2025.
Now MiLAN has been tasked to fill in his vacancy, and so far, results are looking great.
A great start to Milan's trial
PGL Wallachia Season 7, which began on 7 March, has seen a strong start to Team Spirit’s campaign. In the Group Stage, the team secured two victories against Xtreme Gaming and Team Falcons without dropping a series.
It may still be too early to draw firm conclusions, but Team Spirit’s current performance appears significantly improved compared to previous events. Last month, the team failed to reach the Playoffs at BLAST Slam VI and were recently eliminated early from DreamLeague Season 28, finishing in 11th–12th place.
With two promising wins already secured, Spirit may continue their strong run at PGL Wallachia Season 7. This is likely bolstered by the return of Larl to the mid lane, after he missed the past two events due to a personal break. However, Milan appears to be another contributing factor as he now steers the ship of the stabilising squad.
While Milan begins his trial, Silent has stayed on Team Spirit’s inactive roster. Although there has been no information regarding his future plans, fans expect the accomplished coach to eventually return. A similar situation applies to long-time captain Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov, who is currently taking a break and also remains on the team’s inactive roster.
