Team Liquid head to the Grand Finals of the China Supermajor

Team Liquid becomes the first grand finalist of the China Supermajor after knocking down PSG.LGD Gaming in an overwhelming 2:0 sweep.

Both teams had gone through the group stage and the playoff brackets without dropping a single series and only losing one match each through their journeys.

Team Liquid arrived at the arena ready to play today and showed no mercy to the hometown heroes. In two very one-sided matches, the TI7 champions absolutely shellacked the Chinese team.

The first match saw PSG.LGD pick up a Dark Willow for Xu “fy” Linsen, along with a Bloodseeker that didn't seem to work out too well for them, as Team Liquid were able to counter with both the Lifestealer and Chen. Ten minutes in Kuro “KuroKy”  Salehi Takhasomi secured a Mega Kill streak which basically set the tone for the rest of the match - a complete bloodbath with PSG.LGD having nothing they could do to protect themselves.

Although the Europeans went with a full push lineup, they were also assaulting PSG.LGD right out of the gates. With a dominant kill start by Liquid, PSG.LGD held their ground in the laning stage but quickly fell to the coordination and combinations of the team fights by Team Liquid.

The last day of the China Supermajor will begin tomorrow at 10:00 local time/04:00 CEST with the lower bracket finals between PSG.LGD and Virtus.pro fighting for a spot in the Grand Finals against Team Liquid.
