Evil Geniuses have been granted the fifth out of ten direct invites to participate in the ESL One Katowice 2018 Major.
It seems as if the organizers of ESL One are going down the pecking order of teams with the most TI8 qualifying points. While Evil Geniuses have yet to claim a championship title for a 2017-2018 Pro Circuit event, they have been able to accrue a total of 765 points and slide into the fifth spot in rank thanks to their 3-4th place finish at PGL Bucharest Minor and 3rd place result at DreamLeague Season 8 Major.
Less than two weeks ago, Evil Geniuses announced the parting of ways with veteran offlaner Saahil ‘UNiVeRse’ Arora, bringing on board Rasmus ‘MiSeRy’ Filipsen. The change in roster also resulted in a shifting of roles with Clinton ‘Fear’ Loomis heading back into a core role, MiSeRy and Andreas ‘Cr1t-‘ Nielsen assuming the support roles and Sumail ‘SumaiL’ Hassan filling Universe's role in the offlane.
