ESL One Manila to be broadcasted on local television

The local non-cable TV5 channel was announced via a press conference held today, April 7th at the Museum Café in Greenbelt 4 to broadcast the entire LAN event via a subsidiary channel while the grand finals will be available on TV5 at prime time.

AksyonTV, a TV5 subsidiary will have the entire ESL One Manila broadcasted on television from 10:00 am to 22:00 pm on 23rd and 24th of April while the finals will be also transmitted on TV5, Sunday April 24th.

ESL One Manila co-presenters PLDT Home Fibr and SMART along with the National Dota 2 Filipino team, Mineski were present today at the press conference. Mineski- Events CEO, Mister Ronald Robins and the VP for eSports, Marlon Marcelo spoke about the increased interest for the eSports industry in the region.

The ESL One Manila is the first LAN event of grand calibre happening in Philippines and to ensure a fair exposure for the local competitive scene and also to support the growth of it, Philippines has received its own regional qualifiers round where Mineski triumphed.

They will be playing at the Mall of Asia Arena next to Team Secret, Team Liquid, compLexity, EHOME, Team Empire, Wings and Fnatic for a share of the $250,000 prize pool and with hopes of keeping the ESL trophy in Philippines.

Vincent 'Chot' Reyes, legendary basketball coach for the National team, currently retired from coaching but the President of Media5 has set the bar high for the boys from Mineski, friendly advising them:You better make it to the finals so we have something exciting to cover.
