compLexity Gaming are your last qualified team for Shanghai Major

The entire sixteen Shanghai Major team cast is completed with compLexity Gaming taking down Digital Chaos in the US loser bracket final.

Last region to decide its second participating team at the Shanghai Major, the US qualifiers have concluded last night at the end of three games played. The leaders from group A and group B, Digital Chaos respectively compLexity Gaming faced each other in the decisive series for the last spot available for the LAN event.

Game One:

In their first game of the night both teams tried to approach a pushing strategy, with the small difference that coL was also prepared for a late game option.

The Gyrocopter pick for Linus "Limmp" Blomdin came in handy for compLexity once the full five man push was not really possible due to heavy AoE damage provided by DC’s Death Prophet, Winter Wyvern and Lone Duid’s – Radiance – bear. With no real late carry, DC finally lost the battle in the late game when all the big items came online for both Mirana and Gyrocoper.

Game Two:

The second game provided a bit of a twist in compLexity’s choice of heroes distribution, with Limmp on a mid lane Death Prophet and a carry Gyrocopter for Rasmus "Chessie" Blomdin but they got out drafted by DC with a Medusa carry for Tyler "TC" Cook and a last pick Bounty in response of coL’s last pick Nyx Assassin.

Super early aggressive rotations from either Clockwerck, Bounty or Invoker ruined the laning phase for the compLexity brothers and left Chessie behind in terms of farm. After the first lost high ground battle, around the 30 minute mark, coL tapped out with only one set of barracks down.

Game Three:

For the decisive game three both teams decided to play it safe and went for comfortable picks. It was a shaky start for coL who misread the lanes in the beginning of the game but they’ve managed to salvage it by sending Invoker to offlane versus Dark Seer. From there on,the laning phase was easily won with always on point Sun Strikes from Chessie and the early Mekanism on Viper which allowed them group up and take tower after tower.

On the DC side, none of the ultimate combos really happened, not even when they had to defend the tier three towers and a last desperate decision of trying to kill Roshan while their Throne was exposed was the losing move for them.
