WCA 2015 announced with a $650k net prize pool

China's premiere DotA2 event WCA is back, this time with a bigger prize pool and money for winning the qualifiers.

World Cyber Arena 2015 has been announced and it will be featuring 16 teams this year as opposed to featuring eight teams last year. This time WCA will be holding regional qualifiers for certain spots instead of inviting all the teams. The first one of which is the European Qualifier which will take place from 21st to 24th September while the LAN is scheduled for the 17th to 20th December. 

The European Qualifier has the best teams from Europe, comprising of all the TI teams and some new rosters. The only snub was 5Jungs featuring stars such as Kuroky, FATA, JeraX. The European qualifiers will feature a $94,500 prize pool which will be distributed among all the participating teams.

Prize Pool Division:

1st place: $45,000 USD + invite to LAN
2nd place: $22,500 USD + invite to LAN
3rd place: $15,000 USD 
4th-8th place: $3,000 USD
