Cloud9 back to China for the MarsTV Dota2 League

Cloud9 was recently invited to the LAN finals of the MarsTV Dota2 League which will be taking place from the 3rd to 7th of June and will feature four top international teams and four top Chinese teams.

After MarsTV's announcement of the MarsTV Dota2 League and the teams participating in the Chinese qualifiers, Cloud9 was announced to be the first of four international teams to be invited to the LAN event for the MarsTV Dota2 League which will be taking place in Shanghai, China from the 3rd to 7th of June. Coupled with the announcement is MarsTV's request for questions from fans to ask Cloud9's captain Jacky 'EternalEnvy' Mao. EternalEnvy agreed to be interviewed by MarsTV following Cloud9's invitation.

The league features a total of about $322,000 in prize pool across the Chinese qualifiers and eight team LAN event. In the qualifiers, eight Chinese teams will compete with each other to decide their stake in the $80,000 prize pool and whether they get an invite to the main event, the top four get the invite. The other four invites are reserved for international teams who are most probably going to be directly invited to the main event where the eight teams will battle for the $240,000 prize pool.

This is the second time the MarsTV Dota2 League has been hosted, starting off in May last year. However, this is the first time the League has featured an international LAN, with the previous event being a much smaller all Chinese team event.
