With two consecutive victories against NiP and iG, LGD managed to secure the first spot in the Upper Bracket finals of i-League #2. There, they will face HGT, who sent ViCi Gaming to the Lower Bracket and also received a default victory due to Big God's departure.
The second day of i-League #2 LAN playoffs is over, and so far only Big God has left the race for the $107,000 due to their decision to forfeit their matches yesterday. We now know the two teams that will fight for the first spot in the Grand Final, as both LGD and HGT managed to go through the Upper Bracket without losing a best-of-three series. As for NiP, VG and iG, they were unable to defeat their opponents today, and they will have to survive the Lower Bracket if they wish to continue their i-League journey.
LGD is by far the big winner today - their convincing performance against NiP and their dominance against iG granted them a comfortable spot in the Upper Bracket final. The same goes for HyperGloryTeam, although ZSMJ's boys had an easier task due to the default victory they received in their game against Big God. Nevertheless, we should not underestimate their achievements, as they defeated one of the tournament's favorites - ViCi Gaming.
The matches continue tomorrow with the first two rounds of the Lower Bracket. The day opens with the battle between NiP and MVP Phoenix, the two foreigners, at 8:00 CET. The match is rather important, as the winner will jump directly to the third round. ViCi Gaming and Speed.cn will fight for survival at 11:00 CET.
