No DreamLeague for Alliance - Tinker and 4ASC progress

With the final three matches of the Dreamleague EU West qualifiers being played, we now know the final teams that qualify for the Dreamhack LAN. Team Tinker and 4 Anchors will join the others in Stockholm, Sweden later this month for more matches.

Now with the last three matches of the EU West qualifiers, the final two teams that will move on to the playoffs for the Dreamleague #2 have been chosen. Team Tinker and 4 Anchors have come out on top of the rest and will be joining Empire, VP Polar, iG and LGD in Stockholm, Sweden on November 17th.

The matches from yesterdays EU West qualifiers started on a sour note as Alliance was given a defloss in their match against 4 Anchors. Alliance was unable to play due to a scheduling conflict as they were still traveling back from Kiev. This was followed up with the third match between Tinker and 4 Anchors which Tinker won. The defloss by Alliance ended up being critical as a win in their match would have put them above 4 Anchors and through to the next stage of the tournament.

A few interesting facts about this tournament so far;

  • Fnatic has only won one match, and they only won that one because Team Tinker forfeited due to fatigue.

  • All former Dreamleague Champions have been eliminated except for EGM.

  • Empire have not lost a single match, while xGame.kz didn't win any. Both teams were in the same bracket.

  • Loda, Bulldog and Akke all have won 5 Dreamhack tournaments in Dota 2 alone. Loda has even more in Heroes of Newerth and Dota 1.
