TC and Bulba of Team Liquid talk about the games and the opponents. The final is not mentioned since the interview was conducted between the semi-final and the grand final.
They consider the trip a good experience and it will motivate them for The International 3. They have gotten a feel what it is like at a high competitive level and can now prepare better. TC says they had a lot of close games which they could have won, except the one vs LGD.
TC also mentions that he does not think that the Chinese teams had researched Alliance enough, like not banning Phantom Lancer after Alliance picking up the KotL as well as giving Bulldog his Bear multiple times. Bulba mentions the one-core strat they ran vs Orange's three-core strategy where he said they won the fights but were too far behind. Versus Alliance they played well early but could not transition it into the late game and could not deal with the split push of Alliance. They gave away their positions on the map too obviously.
Versus LGD they gave away too many heroes that LGD were comfortable with and after the failures to shut down Lone Druid the game was over. Bulba says iG tried to outlane them but Liquid rotated around and started snowballing off that. Versus DK, they knew what DK would be picking but the things but the game didn't go exactly as planned.
Bulba: We actually knew exactly what DK would pick, in the first phase atleast. The first gank went poorly, so the lane should have been more in our favour. And then we had a few bad fights mid and one bad fight at Roshan.
TC mentions that they are getting some recognition by Chinese fans, especially ixmike, but not like Loda. Bulba says that you could see the players of iG yelling a lot at each other, especially ChuaN who even got up from his chair to shout at his team mates. Bulba also mentions that you can distinguish some Chinese commentary from the stream as well as in game sound effects such as Roshan and certain spell effects.
Bulba predicts LGD to win the final (note; interview made before the final was played) since they should have learned the strategy and tactics of Alliance by now. TC joins in and predicts LGD winning 2-1 unless Alliance have some crazy strategy in their pockets.
