Xiaoluo: "Deity didn't trust me"

c45d3f475641017d111e6e1ecbe786e0e9d5d571b85be3ce85c6f8431d.jpgFormer Deity carry, Xiaoluo, sat down with Replays.net and discussed some of the darker sides to his former DotA team, explaining why it was that he was kicked from the team.

This proved to be a somewhat narrow interview, focussing a great deal on the reasoning behind Xiaoluo being kicked from the side and tensions within Deity. As commonly known, Xiaoluo was an extremely recent addition to the Deity side, and the team's captain, Mamamiya, warned the carry that he would be booted if he underperformed. Althought he often performed inconsistently, one cannot forget Xiaoluo superb Weaver against CityHunter that aided Deity in grabbing the gold at NGF.

The real issues however appeared to be in the fact that Xiaoluo did not agree with Deity's play style, labelling them as conservative. He also had a problem with the predictability of the team, as they used the "tri-lane with two solo's" tactic one too many times.

Despite having been booted from the side, Xiaoluo still follows his former teammates' progress, particularly that of his replacement, Visa. His departure from Deity may have bruised this young player's ego, but he intends to carry on playing professional DotA, hoping one day to join his dream team, LGD.

Below is an extract from the interview, translated by myMYM|Exeter_Lei:

You're saying that Deity picks rather conservative heroes and that you want to play with a more flexible style?

-"Ya, what I want to say in that they are too conservative. One of the most important aspects of the game is confusing your opponent, making yourself unpredictable. Now, how do you do this with conservative heroes?? The top teams are incredibly smart, yet whenever we trained, we never tried new play style or heroes."

So what’s the main reason that you left Deity?

-"It's not always a good thing to look back on the past, but I left so whichever. Maybe it was because I wasn't strong enough? I think Mamamiya couldn't wait anymore as for many of them, this is their last year of playing professional DotA, and they want to become champions."

An abrupt end to Xiaoluo's career at Deity, but from what it seems, this youngster does not mean to give up because of a slight hiccup in his career. Only time will tell where Xiaoluo's path leads him.
