This will have to have been the most surprising Farm4Fame leg, and may prove to be the tournament of the underdog. Two big upsets, primarily the losses of MYM and Blight.int, have left many fans banging their keyboards; well short of their desired tango count.
This week has brought some very exciting and unexpected games from the Farm4Fame 2.4 crowd. The two games on the tip of everyone's tongues however, will have to be the Blight.int vs TheSHIT! game as well as the MYM vs Competo game.
Blight.int faced a very determined TheSHIT! side, still sore from their 20 minute defeat at the hands of Blight.int only days before. Blight.int went with quite a controversial Techies pick, choosing to solo him. Things didn't go the Techies' way, mainly due to the extremely intelligent Rooftrellen pick, which basically nullified any power Techies would have had in the game. TheSHIT! finally proved that the Blight.int steam engine is not as unstoppable as many might and that they do have some fight in them.
The new kids on the block, Competo, shocked everyone when they completely out played a full strength MYM side, including MYM|MaNia-'s Sand King. It seemed as if MYM wanted to go with a semi-push strat, but at the end of the day it didn't work out for them, as Competo's team play was far superior. A strong Sven from COMPETO|BlowME and Vengeful Spirit from COMPETO.neNo- proved to be MYM's downfall. Since SMM '09, MYM have failed to impress, losing a great deal of their matches.
Teams such as SGC and OS|oNe continue their dismal form, with OS|oNe having not won a single game in F4F: Second Blood. The game to watch in this second round would have to be between Farm4Fame 2.3 finalists MCiTY, and the ever present EnotHOME, formerly known as fnatic.
