Dreamhack Winter 09

Three days left until Dreamhack launches. Although SMM will be at the same time, Dreamhack is always worth watching. Read further for all the information you need.

In the last newspost GosuGamers stated out the ruleset and the timetable to be followed. But since then, many things have changed. Pipe will not be banned any longer, moreover the starting time was postponed to 15:00 CET - to give people enough time to settle things first.

Some of the participants are already known and of them the most interesting are:

Fnatic.MSI
Unique.Dota
DIPS
Team Wåhlin
EnRo Griffins

Both Unique and EnRo will use two stand-ins. While EnRo teams up with lapiz and unpapayacoconut, Unique managed to get Puppey and Pajkatt as assistance.
Next to those teams, the winners of the Qualifiers will come as well, namely
xFz.int and
Planet-X
who managed to win the Romanian ESL Qualifier.

The Prizepool will contain 50.000 SEK (~5.000 €) in both hardware and cash.

This year the Tournament will not be displayed in GosuGamers tournament script, but on the Dreamhack website. If you want to participate visit this website create an account and create a team (every user has to create an account, the leader will create the team and add the users - also remember, that it is an offline event, and you have to be at dreamhack to get accepted by the admins).

Update: As just announced, Fnatic.MSI will also attend at the event. The clan around Loda is one of the most famous DotA teams and will surely fight for the top spots.
