Blight.DotA has gone through some major roster changes due to the former Swedish Blight team disbanding. Blight.SWE formed two months ago and got its first appearance in the IDEC Earth League.
This isn't the end of Blight though, the clan has recruited the well known and lately very successful USA team
[Pz]. The team around Korok consists of known players and is currently ranked #13 at the Gosugamers ranking with 12-3 stats. We caught up with Blight.usa leader Korok to answer a few questions about the new Blight line-up.
Why have you guys decided to join Blight?
Korok: Pz-gaming as an organization died out and we were offered to be transferred to another sponsor. We felt that the new sponsor wouldn't be able to support our needs. However, when Blight approached us we were more than delighted as they are a great sponsor with more than enough credentials.
What changes have you gone through for this to work?
Korok: We started taking DotA a lot more seriously and left all those who couldn't keep up behind. It had an obvious effect on our games as we started seeing more and more wins.
What are the future plans for Blight.usa?
Korok: We plan on continuing our success in online tournaments and prove ourselves at LANs.
There is also a statement from Blight\desRow to explain why the old Blight disbanded:
desRow: "We disbanded due to inactivity from some of our players therefore we couldn't continue as a team."
Daeg: "No hard feelings involved, we're all still friends. I don't know what will happen to our players, if they will continue competitive DotA and join a new team or not.Shoutout to xeqtr he was a part of our team in spirit even if he wasn't officially! =)"
desRow himself remains with the Blight team, adding him to the new roster. The Americans will continue playing in the Farm4Fame tournament for Blight.
