Fast updates for the week

It seems that the DotA scene is not moving forward... That's not true. Nothing big hapened on the past few days, but lots of small things did.

Everyone must be waiting for OSPL, DreamHack Winter, ADC 09 and many other big events coming this year. But no one wants to wait for them doing nothing, right? Lets follow the small events (not that small) running.

From IDEC, we have the IDEC Earth League, starting soon and all participating teams will be announced tomorrow (August 14th). Another new (not that new) from IDEC is the banishment of Russia PGG, due to unmannered actions. He will be given another chance on the next season.

NADotA is hosting three events at the moment. The first is The Pride of America in which top teams like United States Evil Geniuses, United States Sponsor Us Please and United States PokerStars are participating (good replays coming when released).

Another one is The Confrontation of the Elephants which will give a $500 prize money ($300 to the winner, $200 to the runner-up); the same top teams listed before are attending too, and five spots are still undefined. You can read further information about rules and registration here.

The last, but not least, the 2vs2 hosted on NA-IHL (you need to be vouched at NA-IHL in order to participate). The rules are basic: first team with 5 deaths loses, and it is also valid if you lose three towers; the mode is -apomnp, creep pulling is not allowed and both teams starts with the same ammount of gold as 5vs5 (CPU/watchers will be placed on the empty slots).
