Yesterday Rinoa, the manager of dMw, has announced the disbandment of their DotA squad. The team became famous through winning the first ADC by beating Kingsurf, one of the superior Asian teams that time.

The team was founded as

XcN and was able to win several local and international tournaments. At their heydays, the international multigaming clan

Fnatic signed the well known team as their first DotA squad. But the team was not able to continue their winning streak, getting knocked out very early in the King of Kings Championship hosted by Fnatic and in the IDEC End of Time. Besides that, the team gave several walkovers due to not attending (e.g. Farm4Fame, Prime Defending League). After leaving

Fnatic, they tried to continue without a sponsor, named as

dMw, but lost their motivation soon.

So the manager announced their disbandment (quoting Dota-Allstars.com)

Rinoa: It is with great sadness that I announce team dMw (formerly known as Fnatic/XcN) are retiring from international play after over 2 years as a team. After leaving Fnatic the team was unable to find a new sponsor and the players have lost their motivation. With real life calling, they are unable to devote as much time to the game as before.

VeleNo-, the fairly new captain of the team has announced his retirement from DotA completely as he must move to another city in Indonesia for work. The others will still play DotA, but casually. They may enter local Indonesia LAN tournaments for fun, but they have withdrawn from ADC qualifiers and will not participate in any international online or LAN tournaments in the future.

We remember them as the first ADC champions, winner of MGC and one of the few teams that have really represented Asia in DotA.
