Farm4Fame winner interviewed

After 10 months of tournaments, Farm4Fame is finally completed and the champion is known. In thrilling playoffs, EG.DotA has shown a great performance and is now the overall champion winning € 1.500.

Only few weeks ago, EG.DotA has changed their lineup, adding

Azen,

Swiss and

Merc. Together with

DeMoN,

Merlini and

Fear, they formed the new EG.DotA.

We caught up with Jimmy "DeMoN" Ho, to provide an interview with the winner of Farm4Fame.

Hi, first of all, congratulations! After the recent changes in your team, not many people thought you would dominate that much the Farm4fame playoffs. Your team lost only one game in the whole tournament!
Thankyou! I expected us to be 2nd to be honest due to inactive ks.int, ravens not scrimming, and no idea about TeG. But I'll take first anyday! :D

How did you prepare for that event? Any special strategies or boot camp?
We scrimmed almost everyday for about 4-8 hours. We all woke up early and Mr Feardarkness would have to call Merlini and myself everyday which was pretty fun cause it was frustrating for him! Azen, Swiss, and Merc would always be around so there was no problem with that!

Is it possible that you love clockwerk? You have shown a great performance with that hero, spamming rockets all over the map.
Yes, clockwork is my favorite hero of all time. Heres a little story back with the old EG. Fear would always do picks and I'd always give him random heroes I want and love. Spectre, potm, es, and mostly clockwork. Fear would never get me those heroes, and said "Clockwork is never going to happen" Everyday I would beg him to pick him for me, and he finally agreed and got me to play him! :D

As already mentioned, you only lost one game. How could that happen? ;)
Azen and myself spammed Fear to ban slardar everygame against TeG cause we thought that was their best hero and we eventually found out TeG's strats. Strength carry hero, DK/alch/dirge etc. heroes hard to kill. After we figured out how to ban against them, it was alot easier against them :D

The second game against Ks.Int was really intense and lasted over 80 minutes. How is it possible to keep up the concentration?
We are really active on vent, and have a lot of fun especially me! So that keeps our concentration pretty easy, I suppose.

Who coordinates the picks and bans, and the ingame tactic at EG.DotA?
Mainly Fear does all the thinking and ideas while the rest of the team gives him inputs. Azen has the most random inputs like bloodseeker and what not which is pretty funny! He and sometimes Fear asks me who I want to play, cause normally I have to feel a hero or be in a mood to play a hero to play/do well. Yes it's strange but true.

Besides that, are you rather quiet and chilled in the ventrilo or is there some rage, if your teammates fail? :)
I'm pretty active on vent almost always. The only rage is mostly from Swiss when we start losing, or even Merlini. Even then I still have fun over it because I almost never get emo only fun!

Kuroky and Levent said in an interview at fragster.de, that the German players from Ks.Int had had to play with delay due to a US hosting bot in San jose and that you (EG.DotA) had not accepted any other hosting possibilities. What is true about that?
Nothing is true about that, to be honest I don't know where the bot is located but its definately not in San Jose. Thats in Cali, and I'm from Cali and my ping to the bot is 110. Its on the east coast, there's no way that it can be west. I don't know where they got that idea thats its in San Jose, but whoever told you that is either lying or you just got false information.. Ks.int wanted to play 1 on their host, and the other on our host with one team having 200 ping 1 game, 2nd game other team has 200 ping so the best solution was playing with bot host which gave them 70-85 ping on bot, and us having 40-70. Azen had 120 ping, and had no lag/delay. TeG, Ravens, and the russian player Azen are all able to play with the bot, and it seems like Ks.int is the only one saying how terrible it is which I honestly do not understand.

What will you do with the prizemoney? Any debts from poker?
I will save it of course, and no I don't play poker :D Hopefully that 1500 euro money transfer to american dollars because it would be 2200$ here :D

Where can we see you in future? Are there any tournaments where you will participate? Like "The eXperience"?
We will be attending the upcoming event in Maylasia(SMM) and every North American event. We won't be attending The eXperience
