Sn4k3y.Enjoy!
meesteryen: Let's start with you telling us a little bit about yourself and your role here at GosuGamers.
Sn4k3y: I am Faisal Jashim Uddin aka Sn4k3y, I am 21 years old and I am from Bangladesh. I love serving the community with more and more DotA info like News, Replays and GosuBets in the GG.net.
I am mainly part of the replay crew and I also do GosuBets on the site and come up with new ideas to improve our awesome site :D
meesteryen: Interesting. So you have many ideas for GosuGamers? Why don't you state some of them here and see what our readers have to say about them?
Sn4k3y: Well, I think the ENC polls was my idea and then getting the replays frame to increase from 8 replays to 15 so we could present more replays for the users was also mine. I wanted to add more Asian stuff on the site as DotA is like the #1 game here in Asia. Whereas GosuGamers did not have very much Asian DotA but recently with Aijn and then the team PS moving to China, the Asian DotA scene is now displayed even better than before and also you can see a lot of South Asian users on the site due to the covering of the South Asian tournament, which was also my idea. and there are a lot more which did not work out I guess ;)
meesteryen: So what do you do on your free time when you're not working the Asian scene for GosuGamers?
Sn4k3y: Well most of the people in GosuGamers and in South Asia know about me and my DotA team Shadowplay. I practice and especially practicing more nowadays as we are attending WCG Asia 09 in Singapore at the Suntec Convention Hall - it's awesome :D
meesteryen: Where do you practice? Maybe some of our members could play with you or your team?
Sn4k3y: Well, we practice on LAN's mostly as you know we live in Bangladesh and the internet facilities are not that good and we only have 2 Gaming Cafes with internet in Bangladesh so we are more into LAN practice and if there is any team that wants to have a game or two with us, if they are fine to play with Singapore hosts then we can play them.
meesteryen: I feel like this is going to be another interview about your DotA team, so... how is your summer so far?
Sn4k3y: hehehe well, "SUMMMER IS HOT" that's what I would say and everything is running pretty good: life, GG.net, University and DotA FTW!!
meesteryen: Haha, ok, we can't help ourselves so back to DotA. So with WCG Asia 09, how are you getting there? I would imagine lots of GosuGamers members would also want to see you there.
Sn4k3y: Hahaha after all this section is DotA. Well we won the Bangladesh Qualifiers and F1 management has our trip sponsored and the rest is sponsored by our Clan XL-United. Yeah, Zeyall wants to go there with me to enjoy the trip.
meesteryen: So what made you join GosuGamers in the first place?
Sn4k3y: First of all, I love the name Gosu :D, then I just loved the site back from 2007, but I guess I wasn't registered in here and I started to like the system and the way things worked and I believed this is the site for me to join as I planned to do voluntary work for the community and that is DotA of course and I applied for being a crew and was picked by PoGDi instantly :D
meesteryen: Do you play or keep up with any other games besides DotA?
Sn4k3y: Well I was a hardcore all-around gamer from since I was in 2nd grade and then started multiplayer games in 2002 with CS 1.3 and continued to play more multiplayer games like Warcraft, Generals , Unreal Tournament, NFS and other than Multiplayer games I like almost all RPG games and OFC love all the GTA :D
meesteryen: Wow, you played a lot of good games. If DotA is your favorite, which one would be next on your list? Would you ever consider going pro in one of those games?
Sn4k3y: Well after DotA, I think I like CS but I don't intend to go professional in anything other than DotA. I just don't have any extra time for a new game so I think I'll stick with DotA only.
meesteryen: So you must have a lot of DotA knowledge. Would you ever consider starting a segment on GosuGamers about DotA strategy or anything like that?
Sn4k3y: Well I do think I have been giving in-game leads since September 2007 when we started a team. Well... don't have any plans to do any segment on DotA strategy yet.
meesteryen: Then is there a possibility for some show matches or anything against some European teams?
Sn4k3y: Well host is the problem as I said, but if we get an opportunity to attend some LAN's like maybe SMM in Malaysia and if there is some EU team and we get sponsors then maybe, but I don't think we can make it there.
meesteryen: Now here is the moment you have all been waiting for. Here's the MSN transcript of Sn4k3y almost backing out and then finally giving in:
meesteryen: how about
meesteryen: give me your exact address
meesteryen: so everybody
meesteryen: can go stalk you
Sn4k3y: hhaa
Sn4k3y: ok here goess
Sn4k3y: dont think it will be good lol
meesteryen: haha
Sn4k3y: shud I answer :P
meesteryen: yup
Sn4k3y: ok
Sn4k3y: I live in the corner of the Capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka named ShonirAkhra. I live with my older brother and my parents and younger brother is in Kuwait :)
meesteryen: So any last words before we end this interview and everybody starts hunting you down?
Sn4k3y: Yeah, one simple word before someone wants to hunt me down.
Ok, you now all have a general idea of where
Sn4k3y is. Time to hunt him down! Gogogo!
