Forget.DotA (4G) team, the third place finisher in DreamHack Summer '09, to talk about their team and their future. Excuse the messiness, this was with all the players. Enjoy!GosuGamers: First, why don't you all introduce yourselves and your team and maybe give a little background on how it was formed?
Forget.DotA: Vinza: This team was founded around 8 months ago by me and l0lzorken under the name: NaB. Then we have made big roster changes as all teams do and now we are Forget.DotA because we joined their organization.
GG: Coming into this tournament, what were your goals and expectations for yourselves?
4G: Fishbone: Well, I was not expecting anything since lately we have not played very much together, but as we found out there weren´t many good teams, we decided to get third place!
Vinza: We thought it was a reachable goal.
GG: How do you play so well with each other if you just play casually?
4G: Fishbone: Well vs the best teams we got no chance tbh, but all of us have played a long time and so we can beat many teams.
Vinza: Yea, we got pub stomped three times by Ravens, and u can easily see we lack some experience vs the bigger teams
Fishbone: Well as we said, there weren´t many "pro" teams attending this time, mostly because of the low prize pool I guess...
GG: So you think if the prize pool was more, more teams would attend and we would have much better competition?
4G: Walleater: Yeah, I'm certain of that fact.
Vinza: I think so.
Fishbone: Yes, of course.
Vinza: Evil geniuses would attend, I think, and also Ks.int. I think also dmZ and more European teams would show up
GG: With this Third Place at DreamHack, do you think you will all start playing more and more DotA to compete with teams such as Ravens and TLT?
4G: Vinza: We will continue to practice with each other and maybe eventually we will get as good as them sometime :). But they have so much more experience together AND individually.
GG: Europe is now a big leader in the gaming world. What do you all think of DotA and E-Sports in general in Europe?
4G: Vinza: It seems like it's having a downtime, like many other things in the world because of the economic situation, but i think it will continue to grow more and more as time goes on :) and i hope DotA becomes a bigger E-Sport so it can compete more with games like CS 1.6 and such.
Fishbone: Well DotA is not getting the attention it deserves, imo, and the sponsors are kind of lacking. I don´t know, but with that many players playing this game there should be of more interest to sponsors.
GG: What are each players' roles on this team? We saw from DreamHack that Fishbone and Hijack love to play gankers.
4G: Fishbone: I'm the support (aka feeder) and sometimes ganker.
Hijack: Wall-eater is the carry, I'm playing a living ward.
Vinza: Wall-eater plays the carry usually and I the semi-carry or ganker and Kodden is all-around, he plays whatever :). Hijack usually doesn't play with us, hes a stand-in so he plays everything also.
GG: Do you ever get bored of just playing one role or do any of you ever just switch roles with another player to keep it more exciting?
4G: Vinza: Wall-e never gets tired of ricing.
Fishbone: In FW it's pretty much whatever. We pick what we like and sometimes some bastard steal my Warlock or CM.
Vinza: ye, in FW's it's a bit more free. Fishbone is best CM, ask 4k[kog] :)
Hijack: sometimes we take carry from Wall-eater but its very dangerous
GG: Why is it dangerous to take the carry from wall-eater? Is he that good?
4G: Kodden: Yes, he's an amazing player.
Fishbone: Many of our fanboys consider him the "star player" but we consider him as an auto attack hero only.
Vinza: He only plays heroes with tops 1 clickable ability.
Kodden: But hes the only one that can play them well we always fail when someone else tries to carry since he's actually carrying the team on his shoulders.
Hijack: Wall-eater hacked Kodden's computer, hes lying.
GG: Haha, well, are there any leagues or other tournaments that you are all planning to join? What about the coming DreamHacks this year and years to come?
4G: Vinza: We will of course attend the next DreamHack Winter, Pick-league, Swedish DotA League and some other tournaments. Maybe ESL and more. We'll see what pops up.
GG: Ok, I have to ask this in every interview. Favorite team, players, heroes, please!
4G: Vinza: of all times or of the existing?
GG: Oooo, let's do of all time.
4G: Hijack: Ravens, Yamateh, Clockwerk.
Wall-eater: Ravens, Mania, Dragon knight.
Vinza: VP, Vigoss, Bloodseeker.
Fishbone: Ks.int, Ars-ART/Vigoss, Tiny.
Kodden: TLT, Loda, PotM - last game in the final was impressive.
Hijack: And add to the fact that TLT is a great group of guys and they deserved to win DreamHack.
