Thomas takes the IGL role for Into the Breach

Into The Breach returns to CS:GO with new line-up

Into the Breach make a comeback to the CS:GO scene after two months hiatus.

The British organization released its roster back in December of last year after a long series of underwhelming results.

"We are more than happy to announce that we are finally back in the (UK) CS:GO Scene, even though it took a bit longer than expected,” said team manager Marvin Matthes in an official statement upon introducing the new line-up. “It is our goal to win as many domestic but also international tournaments as possible to bring UK CS:GO to the Top."

Into the Breach’s roster for the 2023 season is a mix of experienced players and new talent with the majority of the team members still haling from the UK.

Cai “CYPHER” Watson
Karol “rallen” Rodowicz
Sebastian “volt” Malos
Joey “CRUC1AL” Steusel

Cypher, Thomas and coach Juve are returning players under the ITB banner. Cypher originally joined the team in June 2021 and stayed with the UK based organization for one year and a half. Thomas, who is now taking the IGL role has previously stood in for ITB last year before playing for Endpoint. He is joined at ITB by his former teammate Cruc1al, who left behind Endpoint after being on their active line-up for two years.  Volt is joining from Fnatic Rising where he spent the past six months.

It's a pleasure to assume the coach role once again for this whole year ahead, with Thomas by my side playing IGL role for the first time and the rest of the boys […] Me and Thomas have full faith on this line-up that we have built, we will compete in the usual UK tournaments where our goal is only one (WIN). But for sure our main goal is international, with the skilled players we have, a good environment and work, for sure we will show what the UK scene is capable of  - Gustavo “Juve” Alexandre, Into the Breach Coach

ITB’s new line-up is already taking part in CCT West Europe Series 1 Closed Qualifiers, where they have reached Group Stage Swiss with a 100% win rate., and they are expected to compete for ESL Challenger League, CCT and Major Qualifiers moving forward.
