Day 3 is complete, and with that the end of round 4 of the Challengers stage. 12 teams went head-to-head to see which three will be eliminated by the end of the day, and who will be the next three that will qualify for the Legends Stage.
The High Matches for Round 4 saw BIG go against 9z, Outsiders battling Fnatic, and GamersLegion fighting FURIA. All three battles were clean sweeps, with one side dominating the other. Only one match saw overtime – BIG vs 9z played it on their second map, which still left the European team in front.
Outsiders, meanwhile, decimated Fnatic in one of their matches, 16-1. They also won their second map which gave them the overall win. FURIA meanwhile easily cleaned house in their match against GamerLegion. The local favorite carried the will of Brazil as they moved to Legends Stage to keep themselves in the tournament.
Low Matches meanwhile saw three big names trying their best to keep themselves in the competition instead of being eliminated. OG easily beat their opponent, IHC Esports without breaking too much of a sweat. The same can be said for the match between Team Vitality and Grayhound Gaming – Vitality kept themselves ahead in the match to give them the win.
Cloud9, meanwhile, defeated Evil Geniuses in their Round 4 match. Cloud9 was the superior team as they trounced EG in two maps with little effort.
Round 5 will see six teams – OG, Team Vitality, GamerLegion, Cloud9, Fnatic and 9z battle to book the last three spots in the Legends Stage. The three winners will join MOUZ, Bad News Eagles, BIG, Outsiders and FURIA in Legends Stage
