ZEN League Finals Schedule Announced

ZEN League have announced further details of their LAN finals, due to take place in the middle of next month.

The event is being run in cooperation with ESL and will be broadcast live from their studio in Sydney, Australia. Four teams will be competing for $50,000 AUD, which is roughly $37,500 USD or €33,250. Games will take place across June 17 and 18.

The LAN consists of four teams, two qualified from Australia and two from Asia and has a somewhat unique format. Despite there being only four teams, the tournament will feature a double elimination bracket, with the winner of the upper bracket proceeding directly to the grand final. Once there, they will need to win one best-of-three to take first place. Their opponents will be at a heavy disadvantage, needing to win two series for victory.

Earlier this year, Immunity and Dark Sided qualified from the Australian region via the Australian conference. Recca and MVP PK fill out the Asian slots. Each team will face one from the opposing region in the first round. Immunity take on MVP PK first, followed by Dark Sided vs Recca in the early hours Saturday morning for European fans. Fortunately, the grand final will be played at 8AM CET.

According to HLTV, Wizard will be filling in for Immunity at the finals due to them currently lacking a fifth player.
