Tricked have announced the negotiations to renew their players' contrats failed, the Danish roster will become free agents once their contracts end.
An official announcement came from Tricked, stating that their players will be free agents after June 30th, as the parties failed to agree upon a contract renewal. It is believed that Tricked players will stick together and search for a new organisation to represent. On the other hand, Tricked announced they have already started their search for a new roster.
Amongst their current players, Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen spent the longest time with the organisation - 12 months. Other players were recruited over the course of its existence. Under Tricked colors, the Danish roster won Binary Dragons Cup #5 and Operation: Kinguin #4, in addition to securing a semi-final exits at the Danish Championship 2017 and Copenhagen Games 2017. Their latest LAN event was DreamHack Open: Tours 2017 where HUNDEN and co. beat G2 Esports to advance to the winners match of Group B but suffered back to back defeats in the hands of HellRaisers and G2 in the decider match.
Morten "Phy" Jensen, CEO of Tricked, released a statement and wished good luck to his players.
We had many talks with our players and the board over the last couple months, without any real progress, while they received a lot of offers after their performance at DreamHack Tours. The era of God Hunden has to come to an end.
While we're saddened about it, Nicolai has been with Tricked for over a year now and I'm very proud of the results we ended up with, after more than 12 months of hard work. It's hard to find more dedicated players, with the drive and ambition to become the best. Hunden has been the captain of the team since it's arrival, helping the new players feel welcome and shotcalling for everyone.
We won't stay silent too long since we are already looking to resume our CS:GO ascension and we look forward to presenting a new line-up this Summer. I personally want to thank all the players for their great cooperation and hard work, and I wish them all the best in their new home.”
