Cloud9 will use Braxton "swag" Pierce as a stand-in at cs_summit which is set to take place in Los Angeles, California next week.
Braxton "swag" Pierce was a hot prospect in the early days of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Playing for the strongest North American teams of the mentioned period, compLexity Gaming and iBUYPOWER, the youngster raised expectations with his impressive performance. Unfortunately the notorious IBP match-fixing scandal put an end to his promising career, as Valve banned Pierce and three of his teammates from Valve-sponsored events. In light of these circumstances the North American prodigy has not been signed to a serious roster, instead opting to stream.
Cs_summit will be brax's second LAN event since his match-fixing ban. In 2015,
Cloud9 used him as a stand-in for the first time at the RGN Pro Series, when the team went on to win the event. Cs_summit is set to take place between April 19th-23rd in Los Angeles, California featuring a $150,000 prize pool. Eight top-level teams from North America and Europe will fight for the crown of Beyond The Summit's first CS: GO tournament.
It is believed that swag will replace Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham who was recently hospitalized. According to Slingshot, David "LD" Gorman from Beyond The Summit confirmed they allowed swag to compete.
Cloud9's expected roster for cs_summit is:
Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert
Mike "shroud" Grzesiek
Jake "Stewie2K" Yip
