GODSENT have received a direct invite to Beyon the Summit's first CS:GO event, cs_summit.
GODSENT are the seventh team to receive a direct invite to cs_summit, a $100,000 prize pool tournament hosted in Los Angeles, California, United States. A total of eight participants will be visiting the land of the free, to show their capabilities and relax from the familiar setting of a stadium or studio. Matches will be broadcast from a mansion located in the area, where teams will be surrounded with a more casual atmosphere.
Following the addition of GODSENT, this is a comprehensive list of participants for the event:
SK Gaming | Cloud9 |
Team EnVyUs | OpTic Gaming |
Gambit Esports | Team Liquid |
GODSENT | TBD |
In 2017, GODSENT haven't really showed up. The Swedes kicked off the year with a poor showing at the European qualifier for DreamHack Masters: Las Vegas 2017, where they ended up placing 9th-16th, missing out on the LAN finals in the city of vice. Following this tournament, GODSENT were supposed to participate in the World Electronic Sports Games 2016 taking place mid-January, however the team was disqualified as they were unable to find a replacement for one of their players. Furthermore, the organisers were unable to receive comment from the team as to why they were unable to do so.
Next up on the list of events was the European open qualifier for Intel Extreme Masters XI - Katowice 2017, where the team were able to overcome Mortal Kombat to secure first place and consequently a spot in the closed qualifier for the main event. ELEAGUE Major, the spotlight of January 2017 saw a rather lacklustre performance from the Swedes, who ended up bombing out in round five of the group stage to North, who managed to overcome them in overtime. Finally, their most recent result was a disappointing run in the closed qualifiers for Intel Extreme Masters XI - Katowice 2017, where the team was knocked down to the losers' bracket by Tricked Esport with a 2-1 map score, followed by a loss against mousesports, with the exact same score.
