
G2 eSports will be the first team adorning the invite list for Dreamhack's upcoming North American tournament.
With Dreamhack Austin 2017 fast approaching, the organizers have decided to reveal the first of six invited teams to the event: G2 eSports. The team has only existed in its current interation since the beginning of February, when the team dropped all but Richard "shox" Papillon and Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro in order to bring in three new faces, Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt, Dan "apEX" Madesclaire, and Kenny "kennyS" Schrub.
Dreamhack Austin itself is set to kick off at the end of April with a total of eight teams fighting for the lion's share of the $100,000 prize pot over the span of three days. Austin is the first LAN event G2 has secured an invite to since their overhaul, which will test the intergrity of a roster many consider to be the current French super team.
