Two qualifiers have been announced by the organization: one closed and one opened up for any European team interested.

The first one, starting on Saturday, October 15th at 12:00 CEST, features 512 teams competing via ESEA (you can sign-up here). This qualifier consists of a best-of-one single-elimination bracket that determines which eight teams are playing on the closed qualifier against other eight invited by the organization.

On Sunday 16th, the closed qualifier starts at 12:00 CEST, and the format is a best-of-three single-elimination bracket. Only two from these sixteen teams will qualify, so whoever wins the semi finals (18:00 CEST) is probably playing at DreamHack ZOWIE Open Winter – the prize does not include travel expenses.

Besides these two, six more teams will be invited for the $100,000 prize pool finals. DreamHack's last 2016 event will be held at Elmia Convention Centre, on Jönköping, Sweden, from November 24-26th.
