G2, OpTic, and CLG have been given the last three invites to Northern Arena Montreal 2016.

The final three invite spots for Northern Arena Montreal 2016 have been given to G2 Esports, OpTic Gaming, and Counter Logic Gaming, all of whom have had impressive performances of late.

Despite a poor performance at ESL One: New York, G2 has had a number of 1st-4th place finishes, as well as taking second at both the ESL Pro League Season 3 finals and SL i-League Starseries Season 2 finals, and finishing first at the ECS Season 1 finals, and will surely be a formidable contender at the event. G2 will also get a chance for revenge against OpTic, the team that sent them home after just three maps at ESL One.

OpTic had an impressive showing at ESL One recently, defeating the likes of G2 and Astralis, and only narrowly losing to Virtus.Pro, who would go on to the grand final. Since winning the MLG Americas minor, OpTic has finished in the top five of a slew of events, including the iBUYPOWER 2016 Fall Invitational and the CyberPowerPC Summer 2016 Pro Series.

GLG looked strong at the Northern Arena Toronto in September, beating out NRG 2-1, but was eliminated by Cloud9 in peak form. CLG will be looking for a repeat performance against NRG in Montreal.

The winner of the Call of the North qualifier, taking place October 22nd-23rd, will claim the final spot for Northern Arena Montreal 2016. The tournament will take place November 10th-13th, with the final day’s events being held in the renowned Bell Centre.

Here is what the list of Northern Arena contenders looks like so far:
Denmark Heroic
Europe NRG eSports
France Team EnVyUs
United States Team Liquid
France G2 Esports
