ESL has revealed that iBUYPOWER's $100,000 Masters event will act as an offline qualifier for IEM: Oakland.

ESL has announced that it will be partnering with iBUYPOWER, with the iBP Master’s on November 12-13 serving as a qualifier for ESL’s Intel Extreme Masters: Oakland, which will take place the following weekend. The eight teams competing in the iBP event, which have yet to be announced, will be split into two groups. The top two teams from each group will join the eight teams already invited to Oakland, and the leaders of each group will go head to head in the iBP grand final. The addition of the iBP Masters $100,000 prize pool brings the total purse of the IEM: Oakland to $400,000.

Teaming up with iBUYPOWER Masters allows us to accomplish a long term goal of ours: a LAN qualifier for IEM with prize money for teams and players - Michal Blicharz, VP of Gaming at ESL.
