StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2 - Day One: Group A

The matches for group A have concluded, with Ninjas in Pyjamas and GODSENT taking the highroad.

The first day of the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2 LAN finals has started with some exciting matches taking place. Group A saw matchups between NiP vs. HellRaisers and GODSENT vs. Team Dignitas. The Ninjas in Pyjamas were able to take a convincing win over the local representatives, whilst GODSENT seemingly stripped the Danes of all their dignity. Below you will find a brief overview of the matches.

Sweden Ninjas in Pyjamas vs. Ukraine HellRaisers
Map: de_Cache
Winner: Sweden Ninjas in Pyjamas - 6:9, 10:1 (16:10)
MVP: Sweden Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg

The first match of the day kicked off with the home crowd favourites, HellRaisers, starting on the CT side of de_Cache. Overall a strong performance on the defence, as the Ukrainians secure a decent lead over NiP. Rounds go by, amounting to a 9:6 lead in favour of HellRaisers.

Upon switching sides, the tables turned. HellRaisers seemed completely lost, incapable of putting up any fight against the Swedish powerhouse. NiP's CT side proved to be incredibly strong, with incredible clutch plays coming out of all members of the roster. Ninjas in Pyjamas dominate the second half, leading to a 16:10 victory and a slot in the winners' bracket.

Sweden GODSENT vs. Denmark Team Dignitas
Map: de_Mirage
WinnerSweden GODSENT - 13:2, 3:1 (16:3)
MVP
: Sweden Freddy "krimz" Johansson

An incredibly biased match, where the former Fnatic players, united with their Swedish pals demonstrated just what they're capable of - the performance may only be described as "godly". GODSENT kick off on the CT side of Mirage, where they have little to no issue dealing with the aggression from the Danes. A complete stomp, culminating in a 13:2 first half.

GODSENT deal the coup de grâce in the brief second half, securing three rounds to F3's one, moving on to the winners' bracket of group A.
