99 Nights in the Forest launches Helping Happy update with new quests and rewards

Players need to help put Happy together again in this pre-Halloween 99 Nights in the Forest event.

Roblox’s 99 Nights in the Forest has kicked off its spooky-season campaign with a “pre-Halloween” update called “Helping Happy”, which pretty much spells out exactly what players need to do.

Happy the Halloween Guy returns for this year’s Halloween festivities in 99 Nights in the Forest, but the Ram has torn him apart. Players must search the map for his scattered body parts to unlock a selection of in-game and permanent rewards.

As usual, the Helping Happy quest introduces three new badges. Players who earn all three can also claim a brand-new piece of furniture, Happy’s Cart.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Helping Happy update in 99 Nights in the Forest.

How to complete the Helping Happy quest in 99 Nights in the Forest

In the game, you’ll find a wooden stake next to the campfire, along with Happy’s pumpkin head and Scythe. Interact with Happy to learn what happened, then pick up his Scythe to use as a weapon.

Happy’s Scythe starts with damage similar to that of the Spear, but its power increases as it levels up. You can earn XP for the Scythe by using it to hit wolves, cobwebs, and other targets. Note that clearing cobwebs will spawn a random item including ammo, morsels, and even cultists.

There are six of Happy’s body parts to find: the Left Arm, Right Arm, Left Leg, Right Leg, Torso, and Hat. As you explore and expand the map, you’ll come across new Halloween-themed structures, where most of these parts can be found.

The Right Leg is located at a windmill structure, while the Left Leg can be found in a barn. The Left Arm is hidden inside a stone-brick structure, while the Right Arm is held in the mouth of an Alpha Wolf. You’ll need to kill the wolf to make it drop the item. Same goes to the Hat, which can be found on top of a Cultist's head. Finally, the Torso can be found near a pumpkin farm, trapped beneath a cart. Harvest eight pumpkins from the farm and place them on the cart to retrieve the Torso.

Once you’ve collected all six parts, put them back together at the stake and watch Happy celebrate. However, the Ram will return and strike Happy again, skewering his pumpkin head away. You’ll need to wait for the Ram to appear again at night and lure it into hitting “something solid”, such as a stone structure or a tree. Once it collides with the structure, Happy’s head will come loose, allowing you to reattach it back again.

This completes the quest and Happy will offer you a selection of rewards. You can only choose one of the following: Vampire Cloak, Bouncing Blade, or Laser Cannon.

How to get Happy’s Cart Furniture in 99 Nights in the Forest

The new Happy’s Cart Furniture can be obtained by earning the three badges introduced as part of the Helping Happy event in 99 Nights in the Forest.

Here are the tasks required to earn each badge:

  • Reaping: Level up Happy’s Scythe to its maximum level.
  • Strawcraft: Help your team reassemble Happy.
  • Sweeping: Destroy 200 webs using Happy’s Scythe.

99 Nights in the Forest is set to launch its Halloween event in the next biweekly update, scheduled for 18 October 2026. The Roblox game is also currently featured in Fortnite's Halloween event, Fortnitemares, alongside many iconic horror franchises.
