ESL Australia has announced that they will be holding a $10k tournament at EBGames Expo Sydney 2016.
ESL Australia has announced a $10,000 4-team Oceanic CS:GO tournament that will take place at the EBGames Expo Sydney 2016.
ESL will hold an offline qualifier which will split teams into four brackets, with the first two brackets battling it out on the 10th of September and the other two on the day after.
Each bracket will have two different stages. The first stage will feature a BO1 group stage format, from which the top two teams of each group will go on to the next stage. The second stage will have a BO1 single-elimination bracket with a BO3 final.
The winners of each bracket will win tickets to the main event, which will be located in Exhibiton Hall 6 at the Sydney Olympic Park. The two-day LAN finals will last from the 30th of September to the 1st of October.
The first day will have the final four teams face each other at least once in a BO1 round-robin format to decide team seeds for the final day. The seeds will then be used to decide the semi-final playoff with the winner of each going on to the Grand Final.
