OpTic Gaming and Immortals to miss SL i-League Season 2

OpTic Gaming and Immortals to miss the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2 LAN finals.

The two teams were finalists of the Americas qualifier for the event, however due to varying circumstances, neither will participate at the $300,000 event hosted in Kiev, Ukraine. OpTic Gaming will be transferring to a new gaming house during the event, whilst Immortals will be prioritising qualifiers for ELEAGUE Season 2 over the event.

As a reminder, the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2 is a $300,000 prize pool event held in Kiev, Ukraine at the Kiev National Palace of Arts on September 7th-11th. Sixteen teams will face each other in a bid to secure part of the sizeable fund. Following is the prize pool distribution:

1st place - $150,000
2nd place - $50,000
3rd - 4th places - $25,000
5th - 8th places - $10,000
9th - 12th places - $4,500
13th - 16th places - $3,000

Replacing aforementioned teams will be Cloud9 and FlipSid3 Tactics. Additionally, SK Gaming earlier announced that Fernando "fer" Alvarenga will be on leave for two months as he was to undergo surgery, meaning the team would not be able to participate at the event either, instead FaZe Clan's renewed roster will be taking their place.
