APE to stand in for compLexity Gaming's witmer at Northern Arena

compLexity Gaming has revealed that Team Kaliber player Cory "APE" Bate will be standing in for Shawn "witmer" Taylor at the upcoming Northern Arena CS:GO tournament.

The tournament, which will be held from September 1-4 in Toronto, Canada, will feature 16 teams from around the world fighting for a piece of the $100,000 total prize pool. However, it now appears that compLexity Gaming's Shawn "witmer" Taylor will not be able to attend, citing "personal issues surrounding his father's health and unforeseen complications regarding the passport process". Team Kaliber player and Toronto local Cory "APE" Bate will be standing in for witmer.

compLexity Gaming had the following to say about the situation:

We apologize to both the organizers of Northern Arena, as well as to the fans of coL.cs. The competitive integrity of tournaments is paramount to our industry, and we will be enacting measures to insure that our actions do not lower the standards of a competition in the future.

This means that compLexity Gaming will attend Northern Arena with the following roster:

United Kingdom Kia "Surreal" Man
Canada Michael "Uber" Stapells
United Kingdom Rory "dephh" Jackson
Canada Bradley "androidx23" Fodor
Canada Cory "APE" Bate
