Selfless.gg have revealed the final five players that will form their starting CS:GO lineup.
The North American organization has been searching for another player to complete their men's roster for months, but that search has come to end today as Selfless has revealed their starting lineup moving foward. The team will be saying goodbye to Michael "MAiNLiNE" Jaber in order to bring in two new players, Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte and Matthew "no_one" Congdon, both formerly of Team Kaliber.
Brehze's signing may have come as a suprise to some, as the young player has previously been caught up in cheating allegations from Selfless.gg's current coach, Steve "Ryu" Rattacasa, who claimed that Brehze had been cheating when playing against his team during the qualifiers for the last season of ECS. It seems the conflict has been resolved however, as the NA vetern issued an official apology alongside the news of Brehze's signing:
So first and foremost, I'd like to apologize to Brehze himself-- it's not uncommon for players of your level to have to go through the "cheating accusation" phase, and I hope we can put all that behind us.
Secondly, I'd like to issue formal apologies to FACEIT and the ECS staff, namely Roald and his boss Mik. I hope I was respectful while disagreeing with you before, but you guys were right and I'm glad you stuck by your guns, despite my pressuring. Hopefully we do well in the qualifiers this time around, and we get to work with you two throughout the 2nd ECS season.” - Steve "Ryu" Rattacasa
In addition to the signing of the Kaliber duo to their starting lineup, Selfless has also secured the services of a second backup player for the team, Jacob "Kaboose" Macdonald, who will be joining Conner "CoNnOrRr93" Glover on the sidelines. Selfless.gg now have the following roster:
Skyler "Relyks" Weaver
Noah "Nifty" Francis
Mitch "mitch" Semago
Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte
Matthew "no_one" Congdon
