
Play in the North American qualifying group for the Global Challenge LAN concluded with Rush emerging victorious over SteamAnalyst (16:7 on Cobblestone and 19:15 on Mirage) , and with EchoFox cruising past Prospects (16:9 on Overpass and 16:7 Cache).
EchoFox and Rush join ENCE and MK as the qualified teams, while SteamAnalyst and Prospects finish their run with a $2,500 consolation prize. Identical the the European bracket, the North American bracket only featured eight teams. Looking ahead, the Brazilian qualifier features sixteen teams and the Australian qualifier pits a whopping 32 teams against each other for a single spot.
There are four spots left at the LAN finals, one for for Brazil, Australia, Asia, and South Africa. The finals will take place at ESL’s studios in Katowice, Poland on August 27-28 and will feature an $18,000 grand prize for the winners.
