Find out what's at stake for the top regional teams in the upcoming season of ESL's UK CS:GO Premiership.
The preliminary matches of ESL's fourth season of their popular UK CS:GO Premiership have already begun, but now the league organisers have revealed the format of the remainder of the event through the end of October.
The first stage of the event, known as the Contender stage, acts a group stage of sorts with teams being divided among three£500 online cups where teams earn points for victories; the field is then cut down to the top eight teams based on total points earned. Stage two, which will run from September 5th to the 13th, consists of a double elimination bracket which further cuts down the teams to just four, and then in the playoffs, finally to just two.
The UK premiership will conclude on October 28th with the last two teams standing facing off at the MCM Comic Con in London, where the grand finalist will get to take home the hefty £5,000 first place prize.
