TyLoo topped MVP to secure the second East Asia spot and then MVP project beat Athletico BH for the third and final spot.
The following day after VG.CyberZen secured the first China spot, there were two spots left for contending teams. Athletico BH faced TyLoo in a BO3 for direct qualification to the $300,000 LAN tournament. The Chinese dominated the series after losing Mirage 16-13, taking town the Australians 16-5 on Dust2 and 16-2 on Train.
The Australians had another chance for qualification in the third-place decider against MVP project. Athletico got off to another good start, winning Nuke 16-11, but history repeated itself and the Korean were able to deliver another crushing loss to the Australians, this time winning Train 16-14 and Cobblestone 16-11.
