ESL has revealed that the first two teams to attend the ESL One New York 2016 tournament will be SK Gaming (former Luminosity Gaming) and G2 Esports.?
The two teams have both traded blows against each other in the past, with the SK roster defeating G2 3-2 in the ESL Pro League Season 3 Finals, and G2 defeating SK 2-0 in the recent ECS Season 1 Finals. Both teams will also be attending the upcoming major, ESL One Cologne 2016, securing their spots through the offline qualifiers.
The tournament, which will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on October 1-2, will feature eight of the world's top CS:GO teams battling for a piece of the $250,000 prize pool. The format and remaining 6 attending teams are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
