StarLadder i-League Invitational - Virtus.Pro crowned Champions

Virtus.Pro are Champions of the StarLadder i-League Invitational after defeating Na'Vi 2:1 in the Grand Finals.

After a best-of-three series that went into map three, Poland Virtus.Pro managed to defeat Ukraine Na'Vi, securing not only the Champions title of the StarLadder i-League Invitational, but also a whopping $50,000. This victory is a testament to the fact that despite previous hardship, the Polish team is still very much capable of recreating results they've shown in the past.

Map #1 - De_Inferno
The Poles kicked off on the more favourable, CT side of the map, whereby the team was able to effectively stop aggressions from their Ukrainian opponents. Whilst the map is indeed skewered towards the CT side, Na'Vi showed a distinct inability to penetrate the Polish defences, resulting in a less than optimal 3:12 half time score. Due to the fact that the team had a stellar showing on the CT side, Virtus.Pro had a large round cushion, allowing for mistakes. The team went on to lose a total of eight rounds to the Ukrainians, however four rounds were picked up in turn, landing the Poles a 16:11 finish on Inferno.

Map #2 - De_Train
A map both teams are quite well-known for, this was truly a test of the teams' respective skill. The score line for Na'Vi at the end of the first half mirrored that of Virtus.Pro's on Inferno. The team secured a very nice amount of backup rounds going on their CT side, allowing for more mistakes on the more aggressive T side. Virtus.Pro seemed to have issues with entering bombsites, resulting in Na'Vi grabbing twelve to their three upon conclusion of the first half. The second half saw a reciprocation of Inferno yet again, except this time the leading team didn't give up as many rounds to their opponent. Natus Vincere successfully take four rounds on their T side, giving up a total of five in favour of V.P. The score line is 16:8 and the series goes into the final map, de_Cobblestone.

Map #3 - De_Cobblestone
An incredibly shaky start for the home crowd favourites, as they kick off on the CT side of Cobblestone. Things weren't working out for the Ukrainians as they were overwhelmed by the Polish aggressors round after round. Things were definitely skewed towards V.P, resulting in a 9:6 finish on their T side. The situation seemed dangerous for Na'Vi. Despite valiant efforts, Na'Vi were unable to perform a successful terrorist side on de_Cobblestone, consistently getting locked out of bomb sites and loosing retake situations. The team was playing to V.P's flute, resulting in the Poles grabbing seven rounds to Na'Vi's four, closing out the map, series and tournament at 16:10 and a Champions title.
