CS:GO News Week in Review: May 10th

Luminosity wins Dreamhack Austin 

The Brazilians have come away with yet another trophy this week with Luminosity Gaming taking first place at Dreamhack Zowie Austin this weekend, at Dreamhack's first North American CS:GO event. The grand finals match saw them taking on their local rivals Tempo Storm, but had no qualms with smashing them down with a 2-0 win to take the first place title. androidx23 signs for compLexity

CompLexity found another up-and-coming player to append to their roster this week as they confirmed the signing of Bradley "androidx23" Fodor to replace their former in-game leader Josh "Shinobi" Abastado. compLexity said the following about their latest roster change:

Brad has slowly but surely earned himself a reputation as a solid up and coming player in North America. We believe he has a bright future and the proper attitude to take advantage of this opportunity.

ESL New York to feature CS:GO

ESL has announced this week that the annual ESL One New York tournament will include Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for the first time, in addition to the usual League of Legends and Dota events. In past years, ESL One New York has graced a number of iconic NYC venues, including Madison Square Garden, and this time around will be set in the Barclays Center, a indoor arena capable of holding over 18,000 fans.

CSGL drops team

The popular gambling site announced this week that they have released their successful Counter-Strike: Global Offenisve lineup; according to the site, CSGL was either unable or unwilling to continue paying for the team's salary, and the roster is now free for an intrested team to sign.

India Premiership revealed

ESL has turned heads in the Asian scene this week with their announcement of their first ever India Premiership, a $64,000 league that will outdo all other leagues in the country. The money will be split among CS:GO, Dota 2, Hearthstone, and Just Dance, a relatively new game to the esports arena.
