Gambit Gaming has had their eyes peeled for talent after the recent release of the Finnish talent Jan "wayLander" Rahkonen from the organisation. The final addition to the roster was officially announced today and it seems that the young ex-Method fragger Ivan "spaze" Obrezhan has been the player of choice. The young Russian first caught the attention of the team after his strong performance during the CIS Minor Championship in which he went up against Gambit during a BO3 semi-final.
Ironically, the decision takes place at a perfect time for Gambit as on Monday Method released their entire roster in which "spaze" had been playing for. Free and team less it did not take the European roster long to recognize the opportunity at hand.
In Alexandr "beast" Yakovlev's statement on the addition of "spaze" he stated that he is "one of the youngest and most skilled players in Russia, who fits our team and play style" and that he "can't wait for the first scrims with him". The trial of the full roster will in fact take place this Thursday at the StarLadder I-League Invitational and many will look forward to seeing his performance alongside his new teammates then.
The full roster for Gambit now sits as follows:
Mikhail "Dosia" Stolyarov
Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev
Rustem "mou" Telepov
Ivan "spaze" Obrezhan
Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov (In-game Leader)
Alexandr "beast" Yakovlev (Head Coach)
