Tempo Storm win over Cloud9 to advance to DreamHack Masters: Malmö

Once again the Brazilians have set themselves on top of the NA food chain and secured themselves a spot in an international CS:GO tournament.

This time it was the North American qualifier for DH Masters: Malmö that served as a stage for Tempo Storm to show their dominance over the current NA scene. Their first matchup against Echo Fox was taken over with fair ease, their opponents did not reach double digits in any of the two games. Against OpTic they had more of a struggle, at first they lost to overtime on the second map, but since they had won the first, there was still a chance for revenge. And what a revenge they had! A crushing 16-1 victory made clear that despite the map they had lost before they still were the absolutely dominant team in that matchup.

The last team they had to walk over was Cloud9. They had done this before and yet again started strong with a 16-8 win on Inferno. C9 managed to answer back on Train, but eventually fell to the same score board as on the first map.

In the follow-up match in what could be considered the lower bracket consolidation finals, Cloud9 then even failed to deliver against CLG, losing in a respectable fashion on Cache, but then bailing out cringe-worthily, 16-3, on Cobblestone.

Tempo Storm will thus attend the third premier event as they have qualified for the MLG Columbus Qualifier and will likely go through. In addition to that, they stomped their NA competitors and will attend Intel Extreme Masters: Katowice 2016 in March. Now they have secured a spot at DreamHack Masters. What a strong showing from a team that, just a month ago, has not had any kind of international exposure.
