Team eLevate release CS:GO roster

North American organisation Team eLevate announced plans to step away from the CS:GO scene for the time being.

Team eLevate announced plans to step away from the CS:GO scene for the foreseeable future today, releasing its current roster from any obligation to the organisation. This move comes in light of Damian "Daps' Steel,Keith "NAF" Markovic, and Will "RUSH" Wierzba moving to a new team that is not represented by the organisation. David "XP3" Garrido and Adam "aKis" Kisserberth are free agents after being released.

Team eLevate CEO, Brandon "MaDDoG" Hatfield, had this to say:

This move is certainly not one that we wanted to make but we understand the decision the players made to split and do what they thought was best for them in the long run. We are saddened to have made the decision to be out of the CS:GO scene for awhile; Counter Strike was our first foray into professional eSports and has immense value, so we sincerely hope to get back into it within a few months. However, we think that our decision today will strengthen us as an organization and allow us to focus on other endeavors. I wish all the guys from the team the best of luck and will definitely see them at upcoming events!”

Daps, speaking with eLevate staff, said of the move to a new organisation:

Unfortunately, things with eLevate didn't work out for NAF, RUSH, and I, even with the small amount of success we had as a team over the past month. I would like to thank eLevate for supporting us for the past month as well as Brandon [Hatfield, CEO] and Ray [Arsenault, COO] for understanding the reasons for us wanting to leave the team for something new.”

The move comes after the roster successfully claimed its place in CEVO Season 8, beating Method 2-1 in the placement final.

We are currently awaiting a statement from CEVO in regards to who will replace the team in Season 8.
